  • Childhood Immunisations

Supporting mothers who have questions or concerns about the childhood vaccination schedule. This is a topic that comes up frequently for new parents and having a trusted GP to discuss it with - without feeling judged or rushed - can be really valuable in helping families make informed decisions.

  • Postnatal GP Reviews (2, 6 & 12 Weeks)

A thorough medical review of the mother at key postnatal milestones, going well beyond the standard NHS check in terms of time and depth. This would be particularly beneficial for higher-risk mothers - those who experienced complications during pregnancy such as hypertension, pre-eclampsia, or diabetes - as well as any mother who wants to talk through how she's feeling emotionally. Postnatal depression and anxiety affect far more women than is often acknowledged, and discussing this properly matters.

  • Postnatal Blood Testing & Results Review

A targeted blood panel to investigate some of the most common - and commonly overlooked - postpartum concerns. This includes thyroid function (postpartum thyroiditis affects around 1 in 10 women and is frequently missed), iron levels, vitamin D, and hormonal markers that can help explain persistent fatigue, low mood, hair loss, and other symptoms that are often dismissed as simply "part of having a new baby."

  • Contraception Consultation

Many new mothers are uncertain about which contraceptive options are suitable while breastfeeding, or how soon to think about this after birth. A dedicated postnatal contraception appointment provides the time and expertise to navigate this properly and confidently.

  • Newborn Health Concerns

A safe, accessible point of contact for mothers who have questions or worries about their newborn's physical health - whether that's feeding, weight, skin, or anything else that's causing concern in those early weeks. For many mothers, knowing there's a doctor they can turn to without navigating an overstretched GP surgery is genuinely reassuring.
